Lagg! WLAN Problem?
« on: November 14, 2007, 05:38:26 AM »
I have a lag every 30seconds. I got the problem since I got a new computer with a WLAN Card. Before i used a WLAN Card i used a WLAN usb stick and it dont lags. Maybe my dsl 1000 is too bad for pb.
Here some screens of the netgraph:

Here is a demo of my lags:

Looks like you need to upgrade your wireless card, or move to a wired connection. If you stuck in a new network card, and it started lagging, I'd be willing to bet that that card is the problem.

I highly doubt that.

I would like him to try a hard wired solution to eliminate network issues locally.

ALso, If you load up a local game and a few bots, does it lag?

No, it doesn't lag in a local game. I will try to use my old WLAN usb.

I have a little time to look for drivers, do you know the brand and model of the aforementioned bad one?

Yeah I experience the same thing.  I pjack quite frequently, like at least once a round. (I haven't timed to see how long the interval is)  I'm on wireless as well.  I'm using  a Linksys Wireless G USB adapter.  It occurs in DP and CSS and any other game I've tried.  It used to happen on my old computer, but when I bought a new computer the problem went away.  A few months later, I started torrenting and stuff again and the problem came back.  I can't setup a wired connection currently either.  Is it just something wrong with my computer?  I've checked for viruses/spyware a lot and keep my computer clean.  Is my ISP somehow limiting my internet because I'm torrenting?

Any ideas?

I had the same problem with my wireless card, then I switched to a USB and it works fine now.

And also forget about what you were saying on IRC. We wont let you do it. We own you now ;)

Seriously, don't do it. Feeling will pass over and wireless problems will be solved.

Do another spyware scan (maybe find out what Edge used?), call ISP.

That's really weird, try talking to your provider as y00tz said, I'm not so sure you have virus.

But try googling something like:

Trojan hunter

spyware cleaners

and also google your problem, I found that most helpful, because I basically resolved my issue with that.

can you get a wired connection, even if that means temporarily moving your pc near your modem?
