Jitspoe, I think you should pick people to be admins on your servers. Im pretty sure you are the only one right now and you play dp like once a month, if that. Your servers are getting more popular and when bad maps come on your servers clear out. Maybe you should try a rotation of admins. Let different people have it for a certain period of time. Players can vote if they like the admin on the forums. I'm not saying give 150 ops. Just enough to change maps. I'm just thinking out loud here, they are your servers, do what u want with them. =) I know when i had login your servers were easily the most popular.

Great idea it should show in the game who is admin so that if the admin keeps changing it people will know who is doing it.

it does show in the game: just type "players" in the console and each player with an OP level > 0 is an admin. the higher the level, the more rights he has.

As far as bad maps coming on, I have noticed that midnight and midnight2 seem to come on frequently on your servers.

Edit: Yeah Superman is right. When the excrement maps come on the server goes from 20 to 2 in about a half a second.

Maybe the bad rotation is to offset the bandwidth bill, since apparently people leave during that time...

On topic though, would you guys settle for a different map rotation? I don't see why ops is necessary when lots of people have ops to plenty of other servers, so if you wanted to play arm or whatever, you could just head there.

I would agree that EV1 could use a different map rotation (I'd like to see a nice mix of retro and brand new maps, instead of the more-of-the-same we see on every other server).

There are never ops on any POPULAR servers. GT might have a member on for an hour a night. A better maplist would be nice, but I still think admins are necessary.

Considering there are enough servers with ub_cliff, siege castle and similar, yeah, this is really good and balanced maplist.

I generally prefer the admin-free servers myself. I can vote for a map I like until it works its way to the top. If there's an admin on the server, I'll get the map voted to the top, then the admin will change it to some crappy map like blitz. With the current voting system, map changing admins aren't really necessary (though the system could stand to have a few tweaks). I guess the $5/mo level 50 login offer is still good, though.
