I don't really watch football unless I have some huge interest in it, so I end up seeing 3/4 games a year, and occasionally watch one where there's nothing to see on TV. I never just watch football, though. As jits pointed out, there's not enough consistent action to actually merit putting all my attention on that game. I'm usually doing something on the computer at the same time. That aside, I do think it's my favorite sport. There is definitely strategy, and some of the plays that are pulled off are really pretty well thought-out. It wouldn't be anywhere as good, of course, without replays after each play so you can actually SEE what one team did to break through or what the other did to hold them back. Compared to basketball or soccer, where 'plays' and strategies just kind of fall into place/form on the fly, it interests me much more.
