Game crashes with lots of paintballs in a grenade
« on: November 18, 2007, 04:39:35 AM »
My brother (11) and me often play against each other (open for everyone and mark=====lief). I then change the gravity to about -800 (fun!), the ball speed to -2790 (more fun!), the ball life to 30 (extreme fun!) and bursts/balls per burst to 15 and 20. The problem is, sometimes when we both throw a grenade, the game crashes and it says something like:
paintball
paintball
paintball
paintball
paintball
paintball
paintball
paintball
paintball

I know 300 balls per grenade is a bit much, but is decreasing the amount of balls the only way of preventing this?

You're not getting anything about the game error: ed_alloc: no free edicts?

The only probable solution is to turn those settings back down.

The game wasn't made to handle that many particles at one time.
