Author Topic: Why can't I play? Where is syncmaster's cable? (Read 5064 times)

Since I logged in here, when I start a game that used to work (Knack's old Geezer), I can walk around for a few seconds and then I am just removed. It doesn't say you were kicked from the game, it just stops and I am back to the console.

Also, I can't find syncmaster's cable. I don't even know how to hack/cheat so why is this?

You were probably kicked from Knack's server because you don't have a global login account. Go to dplogin.com and follow the instructions from there. If you look in the console after you're kicked, it should say why.

Syncmaster's cable may go up and down, like any server. Make sure you're updating your server browser and not just refreshing, though.

What's more, I played some mapping contest, map was Piped, I was removed and then it said:
Not recording a demo.
recording to ./pball/demos/ggcmpmaps/_20071118_034509_piped.dm2.
Stopped demo
Creating DS buffers
PodkarPacie doensn't work either, and the strangest thing is that these things all used to work before I got an account here.

I now got a global login account and the problem remains. Every server that used to work kicked me out.

You obviously did something wrong. To be sure how to activate Global Login read this, and follow each step as it says:

Make you sure are correctly logged into the account.

What seems to be happening is that now your name is registered, and if you are not logged in correctly, you can't use your name, as its registered!

So apparently I am not banned. On my parents' other pc, where I am not logged in, everything is fine.

Type "condump whatever" after you're kicked out of the game, then open "whatever.txt" in your paintball2/pball directory and paste the contents here.

Edit: After looking at the logs, you haven't logged in. You need to create a profile and log in before connecting to a server, otherwise you'll get booted.

, but you are now all saying "you're not logged in" while it says: Hey, edeholland, ... messages are new for you, etc. And if I click 'Login' logging in is no option. It seems to think I am not logged in while I am.

Edit: Should I leave dplogin.com on while playing? I tried that, too, but nothing worked.

In-game login? I sought everywhere on my game (Multiplayer Setup etc.) and found nothing. It's not in the FAQ either (perhaps you should add it)

Alack, when I clicked Play and Multiplayer Setup, or Setup and Multiplayer Setup, it quoth naught but Name, Network Speed, Cmd. Rate (I got no clue what that is), Disable Custom Skins, etc. Hence logging in was beyond my abilities.

The only things it says are: Video options, Audio options, Layout option, Multiplayer Setup, Controls, Load configuration and Save configuration. Do I have the wrong version of paintball

Sounds to me like he isn't looking in the right place.This is the order in which you should click stuff:

1. Open Paintball2
2. Click Setup
3. Click Multiplayer Setup
4. Click Global Login Profile

Then follow the steps there.
