Is a carbine better than an automag?
« on: November 25, 2007, 11:31:33 AM »
Who prefers carbines over automags? I do, because of these reasons:
- the balls shot by a carbine have a much larger velocity and thus accuracy.
- an automag gets overheated before you know it (this applies only to certain games, of course).
- the same goes for the balls, which run out in an instant, so to say.
- I like leaving the mags for my teammates who prefer them 8).

Weapon-- Rate of Fire-- Ball Speed --Accuracy
 PGP-- 1.0 (61 balls/min) --1.08 --decent
 Trracer --2.4 (147 balls/min)-- 1.10
 Stringray --3.4 (208 balls/min) --0.95
 VM-68 --4.00 (245 balls/min)-- 0.90
 Spyder SE --4.6 (277 balls/min)-- 0.94
 Carbine-- 5.1 (306 balls/min)-- 1.10
 Autococker-- 5.4 (329 balls/min) --1.08-- best
 Automag --6.2 (375 balls/min) --0.90

and no Carbine doesn't out beat Automag!!!

Are you talking about real life, or in the game?

In real life idc, in game i prefer carbine because its dark, sleek and sexy and turns me on.

I usually prefer the carbine, but that's because I usually play on larger maps where I need more accuracy at long range.  Automags are hard to beat on small maps though.  (I didn't realize the carbine accuracy was higher than the autococker.)

The digital version of course, or I would be posting at the wrong website.

Edit: And didn't I tell you I am 12? :o :o :o

Any gun is decent for this game. I play with pretty much whatever gun I can pick up first.

Pball guns get frozen, not overheated. If co2 got hotter as you shot it, there would be no problem with it in winter games. :)

Yeah Fullmetal I like it when people say they overheat.  Anyways..

Carbine > Automag in just about every situation.

I'm sure most of the good players will agree too.

The PGP outranks the rest of the guns in this game by far. ;D

Hmm...that's quite logical, actually. I don't know from where I got that stupid overheating-idea, but it's also my lack of thought.

It's my favourite gun. My accuracy with it is nearer 100% than 0% ;D.

The Automag is something I do not touch. It does not look sexy, it does not sound sexy, and its accuracy is not sexy.

More of a long distance vs short distance, no?
Carbine could be used when the enemies far (and by snipers). While the Automag could be used in close quarters (and by sprayers). Or it could just be personal preference.
as for pgp, thats the best AND the worst gun, depending on whos using it o.O

The accuracies of all the guns are close enough that it doesn't really make a difference. What DOES make a difference is the barrel you have. Huge difference.
