Kilo, your not good. Don't act like you are. You will just get stuck in the newbie servers and cry. Please, think about things before you post. I think flip cleared things up nicely here. End of discussion?

what are your parameters for a skilled player? i mean some people can be just so darn lucky at shooting.

defined "skilled" player and maybe you'll be able to convince these people

i personally wanna see more pgp only servers.

DP does not need a ranking system. First of all when the good players want to play, someone gets a pickup game and tells people on IRC. If you had a server where only certain skill level people could join, you're not going to have a very populated server.

Public servers are pretty much the place for newbs to get better, and good players to mess around. I'm sure newbs don't want to see they have a .63 KDR. Most of the good players that pub just mess around (PGP, jump around, etc) I think it would just be pointless to spend time on a ranking system right now when there is so much other stuff that could be done.

And y00tz, are you serious about letting people choose their own skill level? All the newbs would rank themselves the highest rank(except for the occasional honest player like you or m7). Also a good player could just lower their skill level then go into some server and go like 40-2.

I believe the only solution to this is to have a pw'd server where only those that want to play wit ha certain level of players can play.

darkness's answer is perfect, make a pickup game and post it in different clan's irc's.... 'newbs' arent going to be idling irc anyways.

you seem to be the only one really bothered with them, so you could use darkness's advice and everyone would be happy

sounds like an idea... and to only way to get the password is to ask the admin of the server

I would like ranking severs that would be only playable based upon someone's rank.Newbs wouldn't be able to play with us with their low lvl's, while we are the superior players who have a higher lvl,so we play on different servers.Except if you are in a match and your different lvl's, it doesn't matter about that, only if someone with a really low lvl gets in matters, (which I highly dout).Annyways just go for it kilo! I would enjoy that.

Mizerakk. When you say "Newbs wouldn't be able to play with us" I hope your not including yourself. Just because you use the forums, does not make you anymore superior then all those other newbies out there.

think of it this way: How did all of you first hone your DP skills? Most likely by watching others, and learning from them. What if all there was to watch was other players of equal skill level? Your performance increase would drastically decrease.
