Well I just got around to dual booting XP Pro and Vista Ultimate. Now when I play PB on XP I am just fine, no lag or anything. Then when I play on Vista the excrement hits the fan. Just look at these sexy netgraphs and see for yourself.

I think Vista did something to screw with networking, but I have no clue if that's causing your problem or not.

Microsoft rewrote the networking stack from the ground up for Vista. It's supposed to be faster though, and so far, a lot of people have noted it to be faster than previous versions of Windows.

Do you have a wireless connection?

Well yes I do. Only I am about six feet from the router and if I run PB on XP it is just fine. So I don't think that it's the connection.

I guess I'm hav'in a similar problem. When I play DP2 on the XP dell notebook, I have no problem. But the Vista desktop freezes the game about every 10 seconds or so. Too bad I can't use the nice widescreen monitor.
