Not currently.  You could do the opposite, though.

Played this map for the first time today. Its fun to play soccer on, but the floodlights get in the way alot :(  I really like what pimps done with the boundaries. :)

There is a clip brush to the sky, it can't go trought i think.
If you die, you have 5 seconds till you respawn, thats a really short time to have fun outside

the ball needs to stay within the boundaries of the pitch first and foremost.

if this means that players cannot leave the pitch either then so be it.

less and higher floodlights that light up the whole pitch, not just the sides. (or if you are making a stadia, many lights at the top.

dugouts?

hmmm, so I learned that the ball can pass a clip-brush...
A dugout is a nice solution to do the lights on a good place

Well, two things you could do:

1) put a trigger_hurt in the stadium seat area, so if the ball does make it over, it immediately gets reset.
2) put trigger_push's around that direct the ball back to the center of the field.  You should still put trigger_hurts behind the fences so that there's no chance the ball gets stuck.

When using large trigger entities, scale the texture way up so lighting doesn't take forever (trigger entities still get compiled and lit even though you can't see them).

Now it's starting to look like a real stadium! I think having the lights on the posts and the lights along the top is a bit redundant and you wouldn't see that in a real stadium.  Just make the lights on top brighter.

you would have a very tall floodlight in each corner, but not around the sides of the pitch

hmm yeh i think also that 2 different lights is unusual, but if only the rooflight is on, then it could be very dark on some other places.. hmm..

- the stade_2b looks very nice :)

Sexy. If you want the dark bit in the middle gone, you could use this tutarial:

irl, the dark bit isn't as bad as the floodlights are really really high, and so cover the whole surface of the ptich. i.e the 2 floodlights you have at the end of the ptich would be much taller, and also in the corners.

in the pics i posted before, the lights on the actual stadium cover the whole thing. and as you're using these, there is no need for the floodlight stands down the side of the pitch.

the roof is starting to look good :)

is there potential to add more than one tier to the stands? then you could have banners over the highest one giving support for each team. and also how about making the side boards have advertising?

and also dugouts :P

You can increase the brightness of lights, so being too dark shouldn't be a problem.
