Can't find any servers?  There's a good 15-20 up right now.

As for quake3.  Is there anything you want that Quake3 has that PB2 doesn't?

Larger maps less spray.

He didn't mean it gameplay-wise. Just because we upgrade to the q3 map format dosen't mean people will stop spraying.

eh, been too busy with my mod so I totaly forgot about this thread, lol.

Well I ment use the Quake 3 engine for better graphics, etc. and what ever else it has to offer since it is newer.  But I never played original Quake 3 so I don't realy know the list of differences between the two.

Doesnt the Quake 3 map format support larger maps? I hate Q2 map limits! 48x48x48 on terrain generator is the max I can do!

I think you need to learn a little something about terrain generators.

THEY KILL THE MAP UNLESS YOU USE THEM FOR SMALL PATCHES OF TERRAIN.

Also, I don't think you mean 48x48x48.

I think that ShotMyself just wants more detailed maps like the common Quake 3 ones.

Yeah...but some people still bring up things that paintball2 might turn toward using, such as the Quake III engine. Paintball2 is kinda made to be playable on older computers though, so that would be yet another downfall of using Quake III, it'd have a little bit higher of system requirements.

opengl is the main requirement, i had a pentium 200mhz that ran q3 pretty good with a opengl card.

Quake III tends to be very strange though, I have an older box that's 333MHz, 512MB RAM, nVidia Riva TNT2 and will run Q3/Trem way better than my friend's HP with 1.3GHz, 512MB RAM, and an nVidia GeForce 6200.
