Choppy video/gameplay
« on: December 30, 2007, 10:52:54 PM »
Hey guys, took a little break from DP and I'm not sure if it's my memory just playing games with me or if I've always had this choppy gameplay problem.

When I look around it gets choppy. I have a Radeon X300 128mb video card, it's crap but it's plenty to handle this game. It handles Q3A and Doom just fine.

If I mess around with the Fov settings I can smooth it out just fine, but I hate how it looks and can't accurately shoot.

Any suggestions?

Make sure your max fps is set to 0 by doing cl_maxfps 0

Make sure you don't have any stuff in the background (virus scanners, spy ware, etc.) eating up your CPU.  Type "cl_drawfps 1" in the console to see your framerate.
