My web service at the new place (I moved) doesn't get activated until the 5th, so I gave my friend a block away a few bucks to let me leech internet.. after adjusting my adapter for hours, I went over last night to find his router under his couch with the antennas retracted... "I didn't realize those antennas affected the signal.. sorry Mike"

Anyway in my downtime I designed a new main menu for my DP... enjoy.

Normal and high contrast respectively

It's going to be hard to get something like that to work with different resolutions/hudscales.

Okay there are two thinks where I think this can be much better.

first: The blue players model (have to clip much detailed)

second: The Digital Paint: Paintball 2 font.

Here are my suggestions for the player model:

Chose one of this models and I will send u the .psd file. May fav's are the number 1 and 5

Maybe it will be look better when I cut the shadow too?

I will look for a good font later...

Anyway, I think yootz's picture is pretty good- it's a bit too busy and shiny, and the high-contrast version just hurts my eyes. It'd be better if you could clean up some of the edges around the players, but the current models/angles/positioning you have is good.u

Yeah.... the darker one is awesome. You could clean it up a little but I think it would be a welcomed change.

I think I'll import the character model, and make a few other changes and just completely render it like I originally planned. It's been a pain in the bum to implement for just my 3-4 resolutions so I'll probably scrap it all together. I did have a couple more ideas, but this was really just to burn some time while my internet was down.

Here's something I planned on doing with this.. I want to replace the small map screenies with "quick join" buttons for every major pub #1 server (OTB/GT/EV1/ etc) Is this feasible?

Yeah, just copy the menu buttons code and change the command to connect 347235//46/5.36..647.45.7.4, seeing as the IPs will never change.

Yeah I figured since the IPs would never change it'd work well, awesome. Which should I include? GT, OTB, EV1, KAF, and er33t?

I was on Xfire all day yesterday until my connection gave out... In IRC I get bombarded with 90220242042 messages like "omg why I band from form?" and "hay hai yoo yoots can you unban me for wallhak?

And ViciouZ, here's the reason I'm not on any chat... my rooms are a very ugly royal blue (first pic at the top near the ugly ceiling) and I've been priming and painting walls, and only hopping online whilst they dry. In the second pic is the base for the faux-tuscan wall in my office...
