I vote this too.  After playing Unreal Tournament 3, I would like to see this type of game mode because it would be another fun addition and another way to decide clan matches.

The total amount of kills per team are tallied up and the game ends once a certain number is reached, like normal death match.  Team death match adds up every single person's kill count on that team and the first team to reach the max amount of kills wins.

Flame basically it will allow us mappers to design new maps tailored to the new gamemode.  It wouldn't be very ideal to play team death match on propaint1 for example.

This game mode will really work good with the new map format.  With it, you can create a lot more complex maps for the new game mode.  With out the new map format, I think the maps for TDM will be very simple.

Wasn't there a team deathmatch in Quake 2 originally? Or was it a mod? I just remember each clan would have their own team skin and there was no team kill enabled so it sounds a lot like what this would turn out to be. It was fun.

Hm, I thought this was going to be made to work in normal deathmatch maps too?

or you could make it kinda like halo with 5 sec respawns and 10 sec suicide penalty i think i'm gonna +1 this
