can't get pb game to start

im having problems with the pb maps starting. ex: i hit the play button, join a server and it goes thru the cycle of loading the map and textures ect..., then at the end of the download(before your in the server) , it just stops and locks up my computor. i have deleted the game and re- downloaded alpha 13 but with no luck.  anyone with any ideas or solutions ,i'd appreciate it  .)

hiya damien , thanks for lookin. i installed 14 and same thing happened . it's like right before u enter the server ,it locks up. i updated the server list ,then refresh and it shows all the servers . i pick any of them and it looks like im installing the maps and textures and then bammmmm -at the end of the 100 % download, it locks up.dunnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooo . hope to fiqure it out soon - need some pballlllll ..)))

well to tell u the truth, any advice i give u frm this point forward is comin straight frm my ass and u following it might harm more than help u. If i were u, ide d/l All Seeing Eye and use it instead o the default maplist thingy.

What happens if you already have the map installed?  http://dpball.com/files/maps

Also, try starting up a server on your own.  It could be the video card drivers locking up your computer when the map loads.  What video card do you have, and what drivers are you using?  You might need to update.

have you tried using  Game Spy Arcade. Sometimes although I know not why it helps. Also do you still have q2 try that.

for the first time ( yeehawwww) i believe i have installed 14 and it works,or i believe it does.i'll get the maps loaded and be ready for pballllll !  thanks guys

after the 20th time of reloading 14 it finally allowed me to enter the servers.never had it happen before . now i'm reloading all the maps ,then time to play . thanks
