Yeah, it has changed since 0.2

You can kill with other guns instead of rl now, too.

There were a couple CA servers going last night. The CA pubs have been slower leading up to the 0.5 release, hopefully things start to pickup again. I haven't had a chance to play bomb or TDO yet, but I've heard good things about those game modes.

I saw abnormal post in wsw forums and just played some wsw with jeejee, so i figured to bump this thread!

Few months of 0.5 and I got to say its been really fun. Too bad there aren't too many people playing gametypes I like the most.... Which are normal weapons dm/tdm/ctf/duel.

Lots of custom gametypes, I like greed, midair the most.

do not join instagib servers! do not join ca servers! play bomb, dm whatever. Find duel partners. Instagib and ca are the most boring things in wsw for me :/.

I find it boring, because the maps they play are so meddling huge, so the shoot themselves and gain speeds that are beyond me. Guess thats not for me.

I've gotten kind-of-decent at QL, and QL feels like an intro to warsow. I can't speak generally or correctly or really at all since I've hardly played the game, but the level design so far hasn't at all impressed me. ca1 sucks, and people's mindset on the map seems to be as follows:

Round start! Okay time to go really fast
going really fast going really fast going really fast going really fast ENEMY!
shoot at enemy
keep going really fast away from enemy
(Repeat until one team is dead)

...I guess I feel like the not-absolutely insane movement of QL meshes much better with it's gameplay-- but I've only watched a handful of rounds of CA, so DM/Duel on not-ca1 is probably better.

I found this game thanks to JeeJee - he was just slightly writing about it's tutorial on some thread. So I watched some youtube videos and it looked really cool

. I like the drawn-looking players and guns models. I also like jumping from walls

Are there more people in wsw than in pb?

I also find instagib a bit boring, but just on pub servers. I've also played duel with insta, and it wasn't that bad

I looked at their forums, and saw that they haven't got as much activity as Paintball. Although, I think they certainly have more servers and players. Plus they have a very dedicated team of administrators. Although jitspoe is a very dedicated admin, he is on his own and cannot produce the graphics and extras that Warsow does.

I haven't played it recently, but my main complaint about warsow is the number of times you have to hit somebody to kill them. If the weapons did 3-4x's the damage, I'd probably play it, but I don't have the patience to shoot somebody like 8 times while they're flying around at 200mph.
