We got just freezing rain. Roads were a sheet of ice and my car has an inch of ice on it.
My school canceled it supposedly because one of the board members got into a car wreck in the morning so they thought that the buses weren't safe.
I can't complain with that one because I got an extra day of weekend.

This is the first time in a long time that every chicagoland school has closed on the same day. Ended up with a foot of snow and nice fun morning shoveling it.

And yes, freezing rain counts, it's like snow's little cousin, though they rarely visit each other anymore, it's just one or the other. But snow is better, because you don't have to worry about breaking every bone in your body, and you can make little snow nightryders that go to school under insane circumstances.

That just seems like a weird reason to use, I mean, if there's a sheet of ice, you're probably going to be slipping and sliding to your car, and then you might struggle to get it open. If there's any hills, you're going to want to cry, and before anyone crashed, you would know that making people go to school would be a bad idea.

The board members aren't the smartest people in my school district. We are in Pa so you have a few ex hippies and rednecks in the board seats.

You guys dont know about snow. Come spend a winter in the prairies in Canada, -40 degrees celcius and like Nightryder said, 16 inches of snow and we still go to school. Big babies!
