Once again, Linux is excruciatingly difficult to get running correctly. Once upon a time, after 3 days of grueling hard work, downloading scripts, reading tutorials, and editing obscure configuration settings, I had everything working perfectly. Then I upgraded or updated or whatever and it all broke down. Then I got it back to sort of working OK. Then I was stupid enough to try updating again. Now I have no hardware video acceleration at all. I'm giving up for tonight, but perhaps some of you Linux gurus can take a break from trying to get things to work on your Linux installation and help me out.

I tried setting LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose, but it didn't seem to make a difference.

I'm also not going to manually build everything like the massochists in gentoo land do. I just tried editing the xorg.conf file like was suggested, but it still didn't work.
I've also tried reinstalling the intel drivers and uninstalling the deprecated modules, but still no luck.
