If you steal a car before video cameras and detection devices were invented, and you get caught 10 years in the future with new technology, are you innocent?

If you murder somebody before DNA evidence was around, and you get caught 10 years later (and found guilty), are you innocent?

As for as I can see, the same circumstances (not as severe however) are applicable here.

EDIT: Found a post that stated that Jits gave everybody a clean slate after he implemented his cheat detection.

Not innocent, you still broke the rules of the time. But really those examples don't represent anything to do with this game.

yeah jitspoe did just stright up ban carcoal and you know if he wants to ban me too im just fine with it.

just to let you know i havnt been trying to get out of being banned. i think its just cause im in the committee and thats why jitspoe treated it diffrently.

3 years ago i used a wall hack(which i have allready admited to a year ago at the least)

and i helped darkness about a year and a half ago with a .tga file that i never got to work but darkness did

<Jitspoe>Carcoal's ban was probably a bit too preemptive. I thought, because of the content and the fact that it was just posted, that it was recent. Plus I had people bugging me - wondering why I hadn't taken action yet, etc. I haven't heard anything from carcoal, though. I tried to ask him about it when the demo was first posted, but he had recently signed off of irc. I figured he'd contact me after the ban. I wouldn't use that case as a precedent.
Apparently Jitspoe doesn't find carcoal's case the president of uni's. If carcoal ever got on, he would clarify with jitspoe that that demo is 2 years old, and probably wouldn't have gotten banned. I still voted 1024
