New Map - Bluehat [56k thread of death]

Perhaps my finest, or perhaps not.

I have put quite a bit of effort into this map, and i hope that this is shown.

 There are teleports at the top, colour divided.

New and (way) better improved bluehat!

Blue Flag (yes, it is up in the rafters. You have to do a series of double jumps, or take the easy way up. Double jumping is faster to get up)

Hmm I'm not a big fan of the design i don't like teleporters or the cannons. You did align your textures well. The flags can be capped in 3 jumps which isnt good. The low is useless, same with any other way then the barrols from flag. Overall i give the map a 1/5 game play but it looks alright. ;\

I would like to see you cap it in a match in 3 jumps, or even a pub.

Iv played in it a few times and that is certainly not the case.

Ah,  i see spook. Well, your way above semi-good player, but i do agree, that is an easy jump.

Any suggestions on how i can change that?

the easy wasy would be some sort of huge wall in mid that makes it so the other paths take equal time as going mid.. the hard way would be a complete redesign :X

Well, I have played this with Silly and Dipset before he fully released it, and I must say, It was, in fact "Hella Fun."  But yes, the mid jumps are extremely easy as I myself can do them (and I suck at jumping)  Still, I like this map, even if no one else does.

Come on, silly, you know to release a beta first.

The map is about unplayable in its current state.  I've never been a fan of spawn rooms, but these are the worst.  With the teleporters, people frequently get stuck inside of each other, and it effectively means there are two "spawn points" for each team, both of which can be covered by a single spawn camper (and he can see exactly when somebody is going to spawn, too).  The blue spawns are backward.  By the time you get up one of those tall ladders, somebody can be back and forth like 3 times - there's not really any sense in going anywhere but rushing head on.  With all the pillars in the low path, it's extremely difficult to ramp out of there.  I didn't even notice it was ice until after I played it.  Maybe if you took those out it would be a feasible second path.  I'm not really a fan of the tile ledge.  It just doesn't look feasible.  The flag platforms could stand to be thinner, too (think of a sheet of metal).  Also, most of the barrel textures need to be aligned.  They're all wonky.

I've attached a gameplay demo.  This is what happened when I loaded it up on the beta server (you'll have to excuse my playing ability as I was using a crappy laptop with the touchpad and at the current sun angle, I think I see my reflection better than what's on the screen).

Sorry I came off as so negative, but it bugs me when people don't release betas first.

I remember when he first showed it 2 me and it was COMPLETELY different.  But yes, way 2 easy 2 cap.  When i get around 2 giving it a go i wanna see the porters.

i think that the map would be pretty cool f it was slightly longer and alsoo if you turned the floor ti slick then that would be pretty cool
