The online is totally broken.  We had nothing but timeouts and terrible lag the whole time we played

BRAWL KICKS MAJOR A$$!! I predict it as 2008 GAME OF THE YEAR!

Also glad to see there are still some Wii fans out there who realize its superiority over those other "systems".

Er, why is systems in quotes?

And I really do have my doubts about Brawl, actually. I only like the N64 version of SSB.

I see Eiii and y00tz are probably lost in the graphics.

Personally, I believe the few quality games for the Wii out-do the other games on any of the other systems.  Games like Super Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess (though worst of the Zelda series, still much more enjoyable then ANY other games of those other "systems"), Metroid Prime 3, and of course the latest BRAWL!!!

Plus the Wii gets extra points just because it was made by Nintendo, which only gets the boost because it was Nintendo that produced the greatest game of all time :

LEGEND OF ZELDA: OCARINA OF TIME!

Honestly, the only thing missing from the Wii is the Orange Box, which I can play on my computer :P.

All in all, the WII OWNS!!!!!  Graphics do not make a game, which is basically what all 360 games live on.  In actual game play, Wii games are far superior.

(ALL of the above is my own opinion, and not to be taken as fact, except the part about OOT, which is an indisputable fact, and that should u have any problems accepting the above opinion, that you should argue with my opinion, and not actually hate me. ;))

Best argument ever.

Honestly, most of the Wii games I've played are really gimmicky. While the unique controls are kind of interesting, they lack a level of abstraction that makes a game a game. It seems that so long as games use the wiimote, they'll be cursed to pretty simple generic controls.

And cusoman, you completely ignored my question and just started attacking me based on generic claims by 360 fanboys using generic claims by Wii fanboys. :)

From a hardware point of view, the Wii is pretty cheap and crappy.  It's just the controllers that make it cool.  The controllers are bluetooth, though, so you can even use them on a computer.

Well, I will agree that sometimes the controls get old, but who doesn't like FLAILING THEIR ARMS AROUND AT TOP SPEED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO SLASH AWAY AT AN ENEMY!

Plus brawl can use the game cube controller, (which i use), so those of you that find the Wiimote "gimmicky" can find themselves right at home with an amazing game and good control scheme.

At least I am not the only one who thinks this.  I like the controllers concept but all the games I played use the concept to loosely.  The controllers only fit a few games perfectly, like bowling and what not

The thing is, the wiimote is all the wii really has on other consoles (if you don't take price into account). If that's thrown out the window, then it's just a cheaper alternative with Nintendo games.

The Wiimote is a total gimmick at this point, but maybe someone will do something innovative with it soon...
