Please match your lighting to the skyboxes. The lighting reeeeally looks unnatural. D;

Its evening? I think there is sunlight at that time in the day.

The sky is a saturated orange color. The light is white.

So at night when there is a red sky near the oceans is it red out?

Hey Clipz,

I just have one suggestion.

How about making the 2 paths in to a figure 8, where towards the middle, one path would cross above the other one?

Might be interesting, but since I'm not a mapper, you can just tell me to be quiet too ;D

Could you please follow this guide?  I'd really like to see you spend more time on each map.  I'd rather see one high-quality map than 20 medium-quality maps.  Not that your maps look bad, but they could be so much more.  They still have a late 90's level of detail to them.

I've put the map up on the beta server for play testing and attached a demo of some things that need to be fixed.  One thing I forgot to mention in the demo, but eiii pointed it out: the sun doesn't match up with the shadows.  I think I made a forum post about which sun angles to use for which sky, or you can just aim your crosshair at the sun and type "angles" at the console.  I'd probably just use a different sky entirely, though.  With the design you have, most of the map would be in shadow, I think.

Jitspoe ive said this multiple times, If the map fits my needs i dont do betas. I guess i make an exception and do more work on it.

Alright im planning on trying the figure 8 middle which goes from high to low on both sides so you can cross paths.

Ok i did some work on this today came out with this: http://clipz.viciouz.co.uk/maps/galestrob.bsp

Edit: I posted wrong link before As of 6:03 3/12/08 est its updated

And I've said this multiple times: do betas.  How can you know if it fits your needs if you haven't even tested it?  Public beta testing should be the rule, not the exception.  Inevitably, there will always be some bug you over looked or a way to improve the map.

I've uploaded the new version to the beta server and attached another demo.

In which case please release the map files so that others can fix them up once you get bored. :)
