Siege Castle Bug
« on: March 22, 2008, 06:16:15 AM »
Didn't know wher put this so I thought I might as well put it here.
On Siegecastle when you defend, on the dry side (without the bridge), as you look at the castle, I see people jumping off the right hand side turret, and not being eliminated for fleeing the fort. Why is this? Or is it a closely guarded secret? Sorry, I don't have a demo.

You can walk a little out of the base and not be eliminated, try it :)

That's not what he meant, if u know where to jump u can go out of fort and move where offensive team is. There was a thread about it if I'm not mistaken.

There was an ent to fix it but apparently the server you played didn't have it.

Jitspoe should fix it in the mapfile and put it into the next releases.

We need a feature vote for it?

I quite like it that u can drop down, it means you can camp beside the 2 towers.  Most people aren't expecting you there.

If the server didn't update the ent file, it's probably not going to update the map, either.  I think I may have lost the source to that map, too.  Which server was it?

I'm pretty sure that has something to do with a bad shadow/lightning under below the invisible fart noise trigger.

I can't remember, but I agree with you. There's no point in changing the map if people havn't been changing the .ent file.
