Mapping Questions

I have two mapping questions

How do you make a brush that can be walked through?
and
How do i make the flames look realistic?

To make a walk-through brush, select the brush, press 's' on your keyboard, put a little tick next to 'mist', hit set flags/contents and click apply brush.

For your second question, I don't really know what you're referring to - how do they look at the moment?

i think you need to do qbsp fastvis rad.bat or final compile.bat so the flame looks real.

Look at the .map file for realistic looking flames. Maybe you mean a flame like this.

EDIT: Yes, you have to compile it, but in the map file you can see how to make those flames.

two more,

i cant get the see through glass to work even if i select trans33 and trans66

and how do u put images or decals into the map like the graffiti inin ub_rooftop, or like the cave paintings in discovery?

1) Did you click apply face/brush after selecting the trans33/trans66 flags?

2) The images you mean are textures with a transparent background. You have to get .wal files for your bsp folder. I.e.
Paintball folder: ...\pball\textures\chef\cave-painting.tga
BSP folder: ...\BSP\pball2\quake2\pball\textures\chef\cave-painting.wal
If you have copied the .wal like this, you can select the texture in bsp about "t" for textures, then select "chef" and there you can make the texture.
