Just polling people interest in the possibility of hosting DPCON in Toronto, Ontario(that's in Canada for all you southern folk

). I know there is a pretty established player base in the Toronto region, but I'm wondering how many people from the eastern and central states could make the trip. I haven't done any research into gaming centres or locations for an event in Toronto(however I know they exist) but I'm just seeing if the interest exists.

Note: Legal drinking age is 19.

I'm actually considering having something at QuakeCon. That's not to say we couldn't have it at two different locations or something, but I don't know if I'd want to go that far north...

Toronto would be into the 20+ hours drive for me from Atlanta.
I'd do 12 to 14 hours (like to Texas), but Toronto's out of my range.

QuakeCon: 87.5% chance I would attend for a DP get together.

No ones gonna goto Toronto bain, though we probably have more dpers here then they manage to get for dpcon.

I for one am never gonna take like a 30-50 hour trip to where ever they decide to have it (always far).

and uni... I have never seen anyone say you hack. Maybe you just play pub too much.

Own or be owned, I go to LAN fests to meet the people I play with.
Some people may not be interested in that and that's fine.
I enjoy it. It's just ammusing to me to compare online personalities to r/l personalities.
On many occasions the online personality does not match the real person. I like to think i'm the same online as I am in person, maybe not though.
I guess i'm on good behavior at LAN fests because i'm told I can be an arrogant ass in real life. I just call it confidence amongst insecurity.

I'll be at DPCON in Texas. If it's near San Antonio my wife can visit her sister. That way we could kill two birds...mmm....kiiiillllll biiiirrrrdddds!!!!
