Well I set my lights up and had my camera on a tripod with a remote shutter cable.
This allowed me to shoot at f32 @ 100ISO. The feather tuft is f8, which looks better than the f32 version because at f32 too many feathers were in focus.
All of these were with the 50mm on top of the 17-70mm set to 70mm, which is a little better than 1:1.
I'm pleased with it. I tried a few water drops, but my shutter was only at 1/50 which is WAY too slow.
I need to test the 50mm on top of my 70-200mm @ 200mm next with this same setup.
Now I just have to wait for the insects to start coming out!!!
