What is really neat is that you can see the trails on the surface that the meteors made after they hit the surface and rolled for a bit.

I'mma say that it's not unreasonable that every living organism perceives time at a different rate. Obviously there'd be an 'average perception' for each species, but our brains all have their quirks. The best part is, I don't think there's any reliable way to test it. You'd have to define a bunch of things that are either subjective or unknown, which is preeeetty difficult.
