Why must we vote on everything.
« on: April 27, 2008, 09:17:23 AM »
Personally I think that its some things that we shouldn't have to vote on. 1 thing being a new map format. Collision detection is something we can use. Make it where you can have higher r-speeds so we can make better detailed maps.

Its so much ideas I have seen that I think should be just added instead of voted on. Alot of the people voting probably don't know what things like collision detection is. SO it probably wont get the necessary votes.

Just something on my mind. Well I'm out HOLLA.

Thats the problem. If its something thats that good to help the game why do it need to be voted on. I Know im not the only one that thinks collision detection is needed. Im not sure how possible maiking a higher limit for r-speeds is but that could help.

Because if everything weren't voted on, people would complain when the feature they like gets bumped down for some 'important' feature.

lol... wonders of technology.

voting is voting. why not vote for what you want? would you want something you don't want just added to something without you being able to express your opinion?

Wow, how did you get ? I've never seen that before.

You get that if you post from a mobile device (phone, etc).

Best thead ever..

Also I'd rather have a lot more stuff than collision detection, just because you think its the most important atmays, doesn't mean everyone else has to think the same.

Hmmmm sounds like a reason to vote on things. To get everyone's opinion as a community

I'm not using this to say get collision detection. Its also for alot of other ideas that probably wont get voted for cause alot of people don't know what it is. Just agree or disagree, stat why, be done. Your other excrement not necessary.

we need to make sure people are better informed as to what each new feature does so that they can make better voting decisions in the future.

was gonna be my next post :P

Personally, some of the things that are put in the feature vote I have NO idea what they are. The forum posts help, but if people don't post asking what the thing means (say, in some of the technical posts), and all that happens is that they get flamed for not searching, then it's sort of counter-productive.

And to add to that, it's up to the person calling the vote to be persuasive enough so that it's seen as important.
