If it wasn't already apparent already...

I was trying to copy this single folder.

I edited out the Vista lag from that GIF, by the way << Oh I wish copies were that fast.

This is why XP SP2 is your friend from Microsoft.

Pics?

Anyway, I have no problems with copying in vista. Actually, it seems like I've had no problems with vista whatsoever. Guess I got lucky, eh?

I still can't believe Microsoft found a way to make XP SP2 look good.  I sure hope that company gets back on track soon :(.

Watched that film again yesterday.

Quite a few people I know run XP with the aero-style themes and enhancements to make it look like vista, but keep the functionality of XP.

so far my friend has no problems with vista. he can even run all his games on it. his only minor problem is he has to right click the shortcut to bf2 and click run as administartor to run punkbuster

You can set programs to run as admin by default.  Its in the shortcut properties somewhere.

all 4 USB drives quit working on my moms new laptop. not sure if it was a hardware error or software, but i still think vista sucks like a 14th street hooker.

cola, i had same problem, vista looks for drivers for usb drives that are driverless :D :D

to fix it go to C:\Windows\Inf and change INFCACH.1 to X_INFCACH.1 or just delete it. (you might have to right click and give your user full privilages)

Now go to device manager, find your usb drive with the yellow warning sign > update drivers > tell it to look in C:\Windows

Vista has been perfectly fine for me... The only problem I have is Firefox closes randomly about 5-10 times a day (since its Vista x64), but I deal with it.
