I lag near Smoke Grenades, any ideas to fix it?

Well with that Graphics Card update your drivers. I downloaded some drivers the other day, then I screwed the computer up, went to a backup and had to install the drivers again and it was a complete different version.

Don't lock it if the problem isn't solved. You can't wait 36 hours then conclude nobody can help. Now, have you updated your drivers AND reduced your video settings as previously asked?

there are many settings to reduce but i won`t 800*600,
can you tell me some different options to reduce?

Turn off reflective water, turn off high res textures.

darn i thought i can do this without high-res textures...

i never lag with the textures just the smokes-.-

so do you think there is no solution when have the high-res textures enabled?

Just try it. It's like shoving a box full of goodies until it finally explodes, and when it explodes, time freezes. So you throw out some of the goodies, and it will be a safe box again. Hopefully. The box is your video card, and the goodies are stuff like high-res textures. If disabling the high-res textures didn't work, you're going to have to throw out more, or be absolutely certain your video card is good to go.

I remember a thread where there was a pretty long list of stuff to disable, I might be able to find it.

oh ok i`ll try it @ home, but if i wanna have my high-res textures back i have to set:
r_caustics 1
gl_stainmaps 1
gl_dynamic 1
r_oldmodels 0

??

or just backup my config:)

No, those are entirely different settings than that of the high-res textures.
