Ban Questions.
« on: July 01, 2008, 08:17:40 PM »
It was discussed in the past that it may be possible to buy off one's ban.  If this is possible, how much would it cost for Darkness to be unbanned? Only looking for a response from Jitspoe here, so don't bother posting.

...It would probably be something like $0.50 USD/day...

Days Left: 890.3

$0.50 * 890.3 = $445.15

That is, of course, with the rate originally proposed.

:I know that was discussed but perhaps because of the ban time it would be a different rate.  That is why I asked for a response from Jitspoe, because it's really only his say that matters.  Or at least someone on the committee.

i dont think you should be able to buy off bans. a cheater wouldnt learn anything. he would just go back to cheating. you do the crime you should do the time

When I saw bans could be bought off I thought the same thing, but in a F2P game such as DP2 they can probably use the $ I suppose.

DP currently doesn't generate any money for Jitspoe, and I'm sure the money would help pay for the DPlogin server and other things of that sort. anyway why would someone pay money only to hack again in dp?

I'm fairly sure that jitspoe has discontinued the ability to pay off ban times. Mainly due to the fact that no one used it, I believe.

He's banned for three years. $50 is hardly reasonable, and no one has said anything either way about it being acceptable yet. :P

No only is he banned from the game, due to his attitude, he's also banned from the forums AND #paintball.
I think that if Jits were to be bought off, there would be others that would pay jits to keep him banned....

Means you don't know how to use the quote feature. ;)

The concept of buying off bans was met with some controversy, so I just kind of abandoned it.
