Your favourite mouse
« on: July 10, 2008, 05:52:36 AM »
The subject tells alot :P

I'd like to know what YOU think about different mice.
I have a Logitech G3, and I'm going to buy a new mouse soon.

Right now my favourite mouse is Razer Deathadder. It looks good in my opinion. My friend has it and I've played with it. I liked it a lot. Also, many reviews (for example http://www.esreality.com/?a=longpost&id=1300293&page=5) say that Deathadder is really good.

Well, that's all, tell me your opinion :)

I used a microsoft Intellimouse for about 6 years and just absolutely loved it, but a few months back it crapped out. After that I bought this Razer Diamond back, and it is a really nice feel too.

I'vegot this combo at the office:

I absolutely love the mouse with the zoom controls and forward/back capability.

The biggest plus is its contoured shape.

Razer copperhead.  I'm using the Lachesis now, but it's buggy.  Unfortunately, after getting used to that high of a DPI, it's impossible to go back.

Well, I have just bought A4Tech X-750-BF and I'm really pleased. The mouse is cheap and good. If you want something not expensive, look no further than X-718/750 (it's said that the laser [X-750] gets lost sometimes, haven't had this problem yet).

i use a Razer Copperhead. it's a good mouse. on the fly adjustments, 2000dpi, fits comfortably in my hand, not too heavy.

i may have gotten a defective one, because i had a weird problem from the beginning. it wouldn't "click" sometimes. especially while playing games. it's gotten a bit worse, but i'm just gonna go to a new mouse. probably the G5.

I had the opposite problem - mine started double clicking.

Has someone had a Razer Copperhead/Logitech G5 AND a Razer Deathadder?
If so, feel free to tell me what do you think about them - which one is better?

Why do people have different mouses?  Isn't a standard one all you need?  Or do they have an entire keyboard on them now. I've got some Microsoft Wheel Most Optical USB.  Honestly I don't know why it says "Wheel" because it has no wheel... (or dice thing, whatever it is).

3 reasons:

1) More precision.
2) More buttons.
3) Comfort.

Standard optical mice have a resolution of 400 DPI (or PPI, if you want to get technical).  That means for every inch you move the mouse, the cursor moves 400 pixels.  My mouse has 4000 DPI.  That's 10x's the precision.  What does that mean?
A) I can adjust the game's sensitivity and be 10x's as accurate with the same mouse movement.
B) I can keep the sensitivity the same and be able to move 10x's as fast with the same accuracy.
C) I can do something in the middle - be able to turn faster and be more precise.

If you've ever played a game where you're trying to put the crosshair on a guy that's like 2 pixels tall, you know useful it is to have more precision.  I'm more of a twitch gamer, so I use a high sensitivity value so I can spin around and shoot people to the side of me or behind me, but if there's somebody off in the distance I need to snipe, I can't easily hit them if my mouse doesn't have much precision.  Back in the day I had to have a bind to adjust my sensitivity when aiming at distant targets because I would literally skip from like 2 pixels to the left of them to 2 pixels to the right and sometimes couldn't actually get my crosshair on the person to hit him.

OCZ Equalizer.

This mouse actually has a little 'rapid fire' button, which burst fires three shots (or triple clicks where I need it to)

It pretty much resembles the one I mentioned.
