well I have almost given up on getting models ingame. i am still stuck at an unskinned .3ds model (no good models yet because i need to know how to get them into the game first) is there anyone willing to get the model from where i have it to a model that can get into the game? that is when i make one for a map.

You need to convert them to either .md2 or, preferably, .skm.

I don't know much about anim8or. If the materials are applied, try exporting as a 3ds model. Open in blender and export as a md2 model for testing purposes. Now test and see how the model shows in game.

Topic for getting models to show ingame. Test with a md2 model. If it works, I will help you with your skm conversion.

Exporting models from blender is very easy. Just use the drop down menu and select what type of model you would like to export as.

save it as a 3ds. I take it you've managed that.
Download and run QME.
Open/import your 3ds file.
File->Save As, change the file type to md2.
That's the easy way. I might soon make a GUI to simplify making skmodel.exe scripts.

I believe you need to scale the model's skin down.
