Am I the only one that uses the arrow keys for moving?

Just wondering.

My config that I normally use is:

Move all directions- Arrow Keys
Reload air- =
Drop gun- backspace
Jump- \
Crouch- ]
Throw Grenade- Shift
Hand 1-3- on my mouse buttons
Drop barrel- mouse wheel down

I'm trying to get used to using a "normal" config.

It's proving to be quite hard

I used to use arrow keys back when i first picked up this game, since Q2 was the first FPS i played with keyboard/mouse and I was used to just pressing the arrow keys in Doom/Wolf3d etc. Tried WSAD after one of my RL friends who played the game at the time as well showed me his setup and liked it a lot better. You don't have to stretch your fingers out nearly as far and there are more keys accessible for games where you need a lot of binds.

I USE WASD BECAUSE I FIND MYSELF CRAMPED WHEN I USE ARROWS

wow, i dont think i'd be able to move in any form of a sober manner using that config.. why u trying to use the default if thats working for you?

i use arrows i cant imagine using anything else. my config is
arrows move
mouse 1 shoot
mouse 2 jump
ctrl crouch
reload air '

Because its impossible for me to strafe with the config I have now. That's why Im so darn slow.

Here's what I use-
WASD, movement.
Shift- tossgren
Mouse1-fire
mouse2-jump
Mwheeldown- dropgun
Mwheelup- reloadco2

That's about it. Skater, how the hell do you jump while moving?

check out all the noobeh configs...

WASD for life... you couldn't benefit from a ESDF in this game...

tip: set your right mouse button to an impact gren bind... it's very, very nice

yeah i use weird controls too, i like to call it the Y2J set...it goes a little something like this:

mouse2 = forward
mouse1 = shoot
alt = backpedal
space = jump
c = crouch
x = step left
v = step right
mwheelup = tossgren
mouse3 = dropgren
mwheeldown = dropgun
7 = co2

heh it works for me, ive been using them seince day 1...if you try my control out i know its weird at first but they really arent that bad

been using them binds sence day one. chaos and exorcist showed me it.
