TooN's been using all of the 3iob members names, somehow. Isn't this bannable? I have screenshots and demos, but just wondering before I waste my time getting a poor 12 year old kid banned from his favorite game.

That is the demo i have of "Toon" under Jigsaw's Names.
It's at the end where he changes his name to "[3iob]macHine" then to "[3iob]JiGSaW". Map "Airtime".
Then in the naxt map, i had Jigsaw come in the server. Once Jigsaw left Toon changed his name to "[3iob]Jigsaw really quick. After jigsaw was playing at pbcup and Toon was playing as the name "[3iob]Bix"
Im not sure what the ban is on this.

I just don't think it's a good idea to be going on other DP players names.

I agree, but nothing will be done unless the account of that user is compromised. Hence the recommendation of all servers forcing logins.

Well, okay. But i still think it is wrong to be using someones name, then telling other people other people that it is possible to be going on a different person's name. Shouldn't something else other than having all servers forced to have login be done?

Unfortunately that's the only way to keep me from logging on a server as you: the enforcement of global logins.

Okay, but isn't it like spoofing names or something? Because he was using a name that isn't his. Spoofing name is bannable correct?

If he has the name registered yes, but if hes going on a server without login, he can make his name whatever he wants without anything happening. I would recommend sv_login 1 on every server

Thats just bullexcrement.

Ban that little intercourser, because he broke the rules. Does not meddling matter if you can read rules very very carefully and find that technically there was nothing wrong.

I agree, I think something should be done with this. Other than having servers forced to where you need a login. I'm sure that nobody wants their name being used.

Cameron and Knack I'm sure you would feel the same way if somebody was using your names. It wasn't me name being used but i still think that it's a BAN.

I don't think that anything should be done about this. There's a reason why the GLS has been introduced, sure! But there's still the liberty of server admins, and if they feel that the don't want to have namechecks enabled, why should a player be punished for that?

1. I am for FORCING logins on servers.
2. I am for FORCING name registration when you install the game, hence supporting #1.
3. I am for CREATING a reg key at game installation time tied back to your registered user name.

This would solve SOOOOOOO many problems.

Well sorry to butt in, but I believe the it was on an er33t match server and they do enforce the login. That's all I have to say.

Yeah it was on an er33t match server, and they DO require login....
