Make sure you buy a Mic that automatically picks up sound and activates the mic, I hate it when people get on vent and have their mic open the WHOLE time.

yeh, thats why you use push to talk! or if not, dont have it to close to your face so all you hear is somebody breathing.
- Make sure your check your inbound/outbound when you get vent!

yea and a headset is better than a mic on a stand cuz with a headset you dont get background noise/static where as on a mic on a stand you would.

I wasn't even aware people used mics with stands anymore. LOL I'm pretty sure that's reserved for karoke purposes.

i use a mic on a boom stand....

you dont need to get a mic with some auto sensing bs. the softwares got that feature in it. you tell it when to come on and how long to stay on after silence begins. just spend the time setting it up right.
vent/teamspeak seems like it would be pointless if in a match you had to hold a button to call position while youre fighting.

cameron - you prob got some compression going on from a volume meter thats too low. open up windows volume control and balance the 3 levels of wav, master and vents.

yes.  youll need to find out the different servers that provide vent. dplogin.com (70.85.9.178) is one, so is gt's address (69.93.11.66).  also make sure you have a compatable version of vent to what the server is running, although ventrilomix takes care of this issue from what ive heard. then just connect and enjoy the frustrating one time process of setting it up (volume levels, etc).
