Does anyone know of a free or extremely cheap program for this purpose?

The download link is hard to find but it can can convert anything FFMPEG and MEncoder can do, which means a lot.

Gee, thanks Laged. I definitely hadn't though of that before.

Also, trying it right now, Vic. Thanks for the link.

Edit: I downloaded it and tried to install it, got a pop-up that says the file is not a valid databse, installation is cancelled.

I'm guessing. I tried it twice and didn't work, but I'm in the process of finding another source.

This is kinda a weird process but it works. Might come out a bit weird.

I use a program called Bink & Smacker (find it yourself, im lazy) to change a file into a .avi

It should change .mov's to .avi's. Those .avi files can open in either movie maker or windows media player, and just save the extension as a .wmv. It free and quite easy to use. If the program confuses you, just let me know and I'll help yea out.
