deltaranger, I think you should spend some time familiarising yourself with the community and the specifics of how this mod is developed. Jitspoe is essentially a one-man army in terms of working through the feature vote list, and like most of the capable members of the community - he has other obligations. This means that timely and regular updates just aren't a huge priority at the moment.
Now, this is a point of contention I think, I know I personally feel that there should be some dialogue on the topic of expanding the development team at some point in the future (as I've said
before).
This thread and poll is pretty pointless - instead of posting passive-aggressive polls effectively demanding more updates, how about learning the necessary skills to allow YOU to contribute updates for the mod such as maps, texture packs, models, even 3rd party tools like Zorch and sk89q.
