Mines : request/feedback

Hey everyone,
      just had an idea.  Would it be at all possible to add another type of 'nade to the game? lSomething ike a landmine. Possibly . . .?  Something similar to a land mine?

I don't think that would work well because,
a) People would just put them on/around the flags.
b) Lots of maps only have 1 path, and people would put mines in the only entrance to the base.

Those are in the q2 WOD mod. But, they made them laser trips (required plasma cells and grenades to set, I will post a pic later). Needless to say this was a very effective 'STRATEGY'. Why? Becuase it slowed down the all out assults and ruined months of practice and made teams work differently every round becuase the can be placed randomly any where that can be reached. In a sense making the flag non-reachable unless you were smart about it. For instance in this game your team would have to take out the whole flag area with a well toss nade.

*good idea since this is not a realistic paintball game or is it?

how about getting rid of the horibly canadian coded grenade partical system that jitspoe let fryth code and replace it with something a lil more realistic like a puff of mist with less random paintball particals flying threw crates and walls?

Where did you get that Fryth coded that?  Try John Carmack.  I just tweaked them a little so they'd spray further to better represent the grenade physics.  They'll get redone eventually, but this really has nothing to do with mines.  Also, use spell check, please.
