See if you can post the exact message that you are getting.

Also, I take it that you are running Vista? If so, is it 32 bit or 64 bit?

Works fine for me (Vista Ultimate 64 bit).

What do u mean with "sometimes"? Start the game, play, change settings,.... ?
U noticed anything (important)?

I bet that you open it but when you enter a map the game first freezes and then crashes, right?

Have you tried running it as an administrator?

Paintball2.exe stopped working...
Checking is there a solution for the problem.
Or something like that.

Just throwing out ideas here: Try typing this at the console and see if it becomes any more stable:

seta cl_sleep 1

Jitspoe is there a chance it could be because of the build 24?

You could try a different version - not sure if that would make a difference, though.  Unfortunately if I can't reproduce the issue, it's really difficult to fix.  I haven't had paintball2 crash on 64 bit vista.

Just because how much ram do you have?

When i first got my laptop i only had 512mb of ram running Vista and had a similar problem with dp and other programs.
Pretty much went away when i upgraded to 1Gig of ram.

Death to VISTA!

I haven't played in quite a while, but recently I've had something a bit similar, but with different complications.

When playing it will randomly (even after a few maps) freeze, then my vid card will crash and the screen blanks for a few seconds. Then it will come back up, but Paintball2 will still be (not responding) with just a grey window, so I have to force close it.

Vista Home Premium 64bit
Geforce 86000 GTxxx

It hasn't started but recently, but when I'm back on it in January I will get more details with the version and whatever.

Sounds like either a driver or overheating issue.
