My game freezes when I try to update servers.

I run an fairly old Pentium 866 using Win98.

The game opens fine, but when I click on:

Play>Join Game>Update

The game updates a collection of servers but instantly freezes. I can Ctrl+Alt+Dlt to end the process, but I can not start to play without it freezing. Any idea what might be happening?

Which version are you using?  It should show the build number on the lower right.

Make sure windows firewall, virus scanners, etc. aren't blocking paintball2.exe from accessing the Internet.
