Why always jumps? Besides there are few quickening jumps which i tested with my friend and they worked nicely. But for more jumps the map is just too small and tight. There isn't really a place where you could add something like that.

Another way you could light up your caves is with a barrel holding a fire, kind of like the kind hobos use to warm up. lol
I've tried making one for one of my maps, and the effect is pretty nice.

Yea, i made that kind of lightning for one my test maps, It's pretty nice looking. Just need to find place for it now  ;)

Hi again! Here's the 4th beta of Forgotten Caverns:

I did pretty much minor fixes and stuff, but biggest change was in the lightning. I took half of the lights (not torches) and reduced the light value to 1/3 of the original value. That changed the atmosphere of the map alot! Also i spend lot of time to the structure in the middle. I made it from metal and made some patterns in it. Say what you think about it.

Ok, thanks. I fixed those but the boxes seemed fine on me. Is it because im not using HR textures?

BTW what HR textures you use?

Mostly fixed bugs which T3RR0R15T pointed out, but i also added 2 white flags for CTF. Also deleted one automag and changed the position of 2nd autococker. Here's some screenies:

Just played it. It was great that automag was annoying :P and those 2 white flags are awesome for gameplay.

ˇOn the yellow side- The barrel what helps you to get to the higher mid flag is white. On purple side its purple.

I also think the white flags shouldn't give that many points. Right now I'd think that in every round someone would rush to mid flag and try to cap it. If the flaags would gfive less points it would be pointless to just rush to flags and people would rather think what their next move would be.

Ok, so i drop the middle flags to 2 points? And the barrel is yellow, it just looks white because of the orange lightning.

He's not up there yet...3 of my favorite mappers and i think they are up there 1) DirtyTaco 2) Cusoman and 3) S8NSSON

Uploaded to the beta server for play testing.  Love the jail. :)  The map seems fairly simple in layout, but for some reason, it's really easy to get disoriented.  I can see a lot of new players getting completely lost.

Yes, i noticed that on beta server too. It's really hard for me to see if some part is confusing, cause i have done this from scratch and know every part of it. If you could be kind enough and ask from people that which part is confusing so it could be changed

Jitspoe is saying that maps should be more than just 1 path maps all the time. Now he says that its too complicated after he sees some idiot czechs run around in beta server? True, getting the whole picture of this map needs more than 5 minutes and maybe you have to noclip to see the map from above to know what the intercourse you are doing but thats a good thing.
