exporting problem

Wen i try to do my final export for my map it stalls, i dont kno if its just taking ages or its frozen. does the final export normally take ages? is there anything i can do to speed it up? is it intercoursed?

The final compile, depending on how fast your computer is, or how big the map is, can take a fair bit of time to do.  So let it go overnight if its taking a long time, thats what I tend to do with my maps, until I get a new comp, still stuck with DDR memory :(.

Chances are, you need to detail some of your brushes that don't block visibilty.  The vis stage can take a while.  Do you have a large, open map?  That's generally the worst kind of map to compile.

yeh the map is large and open was just reading about the vis stage but dont understand it... i guess il just have to read the topic about it more carefully thanks for the help anyway.
