Map source files
« on: January 29, 2006, 10:46:27 PM »
Weren't some of the .map source files in the http://www.dpball.com/files/mapmaking/mapfiles/ directory?  Specifically, I am looking for older maps around the time that antioch came out.

Not very many mappers have released the sources to their maps.  Which specific maps are you looking for?  If it's just Antioch, I think I have a number of DT's .map sources somewhere.

My roommate here at college had an idea that he wanted me to try with Antioch, so that would be the only one I am looking for right now.

Ok, I uploaded them.  There were several .map files.  I'm not sure which one is the most recent.

google serch qwinbsp it converts .bsp map format to
.map format... but it has some issues with decompiling maps that contain models inside of it.. for instance i tried to decompile midnight2 a while ago soo i could get the plant models from the bottom of the map but it gave me errors. im perty sure fourthX uses a map editor called quark that will also allow u to decompile maps.

One more thing:

Would anyone happen to have the source to seigecastle? (I haven't tried doing a seige level before and I would like to use that as a kind of guide of where to place brushes and what entities to make them)

Thanks!

I think the siegecastle source has been lost.
