They said it was coming out in Summer 2009. Then December 2008. They claim that it's a 'slow release' system they're using, allowing hardcore gamers to get keys and test it out.

I really can't be bothered to keep checking till it's finally been released

Awesome, a casual game (disguised as a legitimate FPS!) whose entire business model is based on microtransactions.
This is more or less exactly what PC gaming should be ridding itself of, right now. :\
