I found another crash :-\
(Vista Ultimate x64; Nvidia GTX 280)

And i can reproduce it as much as i want :o
I only need to run into the left red base (main spawn) from the map (anubis, vis only).
I make a final compile later, it needs more than 80 minutes. Idk why, discovery has an similar size and needs only 6 minutes... I hope the bug is away in the final version.

Code: [Select]
Faulting application paintball2.exe, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x49a4adc8, faulting module ref_pbgl.dll, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x49a4ada1, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x0001231d, process id 0x124c, application start time 01c9a7eeef61475b.

U need more informations about it jitspoe? Or can u reproduce it too?

I can reproduce the error while debugging in VC but it looks more likely that it is a problem with the VIS data in the BSP rather than paintball.

Ok, its gone with the final compile, but the game shouldn't crash. Close the game or quit the map and show an error message was much better as a crash. Thanks for the info ViciouZ.

yep seems so.. it's pretty solid.. just crashes on DP :| so it seems to be drivers anyway because i was fine before.. there are new drivers out, so im downloading that and gonna install see if it helps

Still Crashed

Faulting application paintball2.exe, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x49a4adc8, faulting module atioglxx.dll, version 6.14.10.8543, time stamp 0x49a5b267, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x001cb560, process id 0xecc, application start time 0x01c9a813365ebfed.

I even completly uninstalled the older drivers, and reinstalled the drivers fresh

You probably have to downgrade to earlier drivers.  ATI is constantly breaking their OpenGL support.

Does this crash at a specific location?  Like near water?  Maybe set r_reflectivewater 0

nahh completly random.. sometimes i can play for 15 minutes.. sometimes takes 30 seconds to CTD. ill try old drivers/ reflective water off

update: set r_reflectivewater 0 did not fix it
