Standalone Server Browser
« on: February 08, 2006, 02:19:42 PM »
I could have sworn I made a thread about this already, but maybe not.  Ah, it must have been this thread.

Anyway, I'm making progress on it.  I'll probably throw it in with build16.

Those are just all the server settings.  They show up in any browser.

Parchance the more important ones (timeelapsed, scores, fraglimit, etc) could be somewhere else, while the less important ones(email, etc) would be in another place.

It's still very early in development.  Be patient. :)

The functionality is very minimal, but it should be somewhat usable.

So far, I like HLSW. I'll have a look at it, when I'm back home from school.
If there is any possibility to see the funname - names, I'd appreciate it.

It really sucks to see ascii-symbols in HLSW instead of real names.

The screenshot you attached is looking great!! Does the serverlist update/refresh itself, when new servers come along?

Not yet, you have to refresh it by yourself on this version.

New feature: minimize to tray.  Eventually it will auto-refresh servers and check for your favorite maps and/or friends online.  I need to make a real icon for this, unless somebody else wants to volunteer.

I do believe there is a major problem in that. When you click on a server, it gives you the info for the server below the one you clicked on.

Argh! It had that problem when you scrolled through it with the arrow keys, so I fixed it for that and now it's broken for the clicking!  I'll fix it.
