Only one test server(71.75.4.26) was set up that required the login before you could connect.  Also, there is a manual setting that admin of servers will have to turn on before logging in is required for you to connect to the server.

sv_login 2 is the setting to require logins on the server.

I know this is a little off topic, but what would "sv_login 0" and "sv_login 1" do?

In order to use the external server browser, you have to have autologin enabled, otherwise it skips the login completely and if the server you're connecting to requires logins, it will boot you from the game.

Zorch: I believe that's explained in the build 17 pre-release thread.  If not, it's in the gamex86 changelog in your docs directory.

Wow, I'm blind. :P ... First line of the changelog. Thanks.

I have a CVS set up for the serverbrowser now: http://paintball2.cvs.sourceforge.net/paintball2/serverbrowser/

Hmm, I guess the HTTP portion of it hasn't updated yet, but you can still check it out with a CVS client.

The CVS is up now.  I'm also curious of something, so I made a minor change here to test:

Score and time in the statusbar looks nice ;D

gamename only the name und gameversion only the version ? Or both at both ?

EDIT:

Is there a way to display, who is logged in at a server?
Maybe "Level" before the "Name/Score/Ping"

There's not currently a way to do that, no.  The server doesn't report that information.

There's a bug: Actually someone's playing in the read team but he gets shown as he'd be in the blue one. Even ppl that aren't on the server (maybe are dl-ing) are showed (the one i'm talking about is shown as blue).

There's no way for the server browser to tell who is actually in the game and who is just connected to the server (downloading), so it throws the colors off.

Wonder what causes it.  Perhaps somebody could run it with a debugger and catch where it pops up?  I've never had that happen.

I received a runtime error today with the server browser, and I was able to replicate it 5 times.
Can anyone verify that it works for them too?
1. I started it up, let all the servers load.
2. Arrange by ping
3. click on any random server
4. immediately click update

Error happens there, what about for anyone else?

edit: oops, did I break it? It does it everytime it starts up now... :-\

Make sure you don't have multiple instances of the server browser running. I have had 2 and 3 instances of this running without knowing it and I have gotten this error.

I saw, but it's not the same error, or, doesn't appear to be.
