I think vista changed some of the messages.

I imagine it has something to do with multithreading.  Two threads trying to manipulate the same data at the same time or something like that.  Makes it rather hard to reproduce and pinpoint.  You might be able to compile it in debug mode from the source and see if you can catch exactly where it breaks.

K, thanks for trying Nick.

I've gotten that error, and I just tried it once or twice- I'm pretty sure it had to do with trying to load a specific server's data.

I think I've fixed the occasional error some people were experiencing - or at least one of them.  It was caused by a blank name.  I've attached a new version.

Thanks for pointing that out.  For some reason it was still running in the background and the new exe couldn't get written.  This should be the latest and greatest.

I've worked on the server browser in the last weeks and now i want to know, what do you think about it.

This is new or changed:

- new: "C" (certificated server; 0: no / 1: yes - comes with the next paintball build. link)
- new: "PW" (server is password protected; 0: no / 1: yes)
- new: "GLS" (global login system (sv_login setting); 0: off / 1: on, protects registered names and clans / 2: on, u need a login to connect)
- new: multi language menus (english, german, french, czech, polish, slovak)
- new: website link in the menu
- changed: game name to title
- changed: size of the main window
- changed: complete about window

If exist, it should use the language from ur windows and if the language not exist, it should use english.
Please check the translations or if u want another one, post the language name, the menu words and teh word "serverbrowser" in the new language in this thread.

TODO:

- change the numbers from C, PW and GLS to icons.
- translate the status messages

i like to know ahead of time when i can go into a server with an alias and harass noobers, so thumbs up.

why do you need to make icons for numbers 1-3, dont make it too complicated.

Haha, works nice. Even the translation to czech language.

It could be great to make some hints for new players to find this browser.

Cool - are these changes on the SF CVS?

The new icons you have on the CVS - are those GPL compatible?

Edit: Also, now that you have the language specific resource files set up, does that mean I have to add things to every resource file, or does it handle that automatically?  I've never done any multi-language windows API stuff.

I merged all of the resource files into one, because it was a pain to manage adding/deleting/editing things in every single language.  I'm not sure if the language settings are still working because I couldn't seem to get windows to switch languages.  I've attached a new EXE for testing.  Also has the start of icons for password protected servers.  If this works, I'll submit it to the CVS.

Doesn't work.  At least not on old win 7 build.

Weird - trying to debug it on my vista laptop now.  Thanks for trying.  Seems to have something to do with the message handling for drawing the icons, but I'm not sure why it's crashing just in vista/win7...
