FPS and Time showing
« on: April 15, 2009, 12:15:39 AM »
My friend's screen shows his FPS in a different spot then mine and it also shows his time.

He wants to get rid of the FPS and the time showing on his screen. Now for mine, my FPS usually shows on the right so what I type in console to get rid of it doesn't work for him. Anyone know the code to make it go away for him?

That's not part of pball. He's using some third-party program to display his FPS and the time.
I don't recognize it, myself-- is that what fraps looks like now?

Nope.  I don't recognize it either.

Same. I don't think there is an option to show the time in DP.

Try get him to download it from dplogin.

But you'd expect the program to be on his computer. There is a chance that the time software came in-built into his paintball.

-> cl_drawclock 1/0
-> cl_timestamp 1/0

There are both the FPS and Time functionality in DP, however the ones in the screenshot are not from DP.

It might be xfire though.  I can't remember if you can change how those things look ingame though.

It might work to reinstall, but it will not get rid of / figure out the problem.

Have him try to end any background processes running that would be common to gaming (ie xfire, fraps, steam, etc) then start Paintball up and see if its gone.

That is xfire for sure, in order to do this u must turn on dp activate xfire in game (default = Scroll lock + x). I use the shadow skin for xfire which is default by install if i recall, after u hit scroll lock + x. You click on the pencil on the bottom left corner and uncheck Display fps overlay and Display clock overlay, after that it should be gone.
