When you click reply to reply to a thread go to additional options and attach a screenshot that you took. (Browse then go to your screenshots folder)

Sometimes screenshots don't upload for me here so you can always use an outside source to upload them. I've found www.tinypic.com to be fast and easy. You can upload the screenshot there then paste the second link that it gives you on the upload page. Should be this one: IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards

I'm sorry i didn't make it clear enough. I meant how do you take a screen shot? I could use my camera but it might look crappy. :(

I pushed F12 and it's not doing anything. When I look through the menus I see that F12 is to subtract. What am I doing wrong?

F12 is the in-game key to take a screenshot. Unless you binded F12 to something else then it should take one. When you push it in-game, it should say something in the console, or on your screen something like: Wrote sshot000.jpg

Have you looked in your screenshot folder to see if there is no screenshots there?

I don't have a screen shot folder. You say in-game key do I have to compile it first to take a screen shot?

Games/Paintball2/pball/scrnshot

Everybody should have that folder.

Write "bind f12 screenshot" in console if you dont have that

Everyone has a screenshot folder if you have paintball installed. Go to Games>Paintball2>pball>scrnshot to get to your screenshots folder.

As for your question, if you want to view your map on paintball2 to take your screenshot then you need to save your map in your maps folder. Then you can start up paintball and start your own game, and put the map on, where you can take the screenshots. So yes you need to compile it. You could always take a screenshot from your computer that's not in-game of your map but I don't know the key to take one for your computer.

Edit: Didn't see Byz's post. I think what he means is that he's not on paintball, which is why he's pushing F12 and its not taking a screenshot

Never mind I made spawn, but I can't keep it from falling all over the place. And when I bring up menu it keeps the menu there even when I've closed it.

Fix your leak for one thing, that would make the map at least playable. XD
In my opinion, you're learning pretty quickly, at least you know how to use different textures and it looks like you know how to line things up.
*cough*nick123*cough*.
But still, try not to post your first few maps. Practice more until you master the basics.
For your next step, you should start making a bit more complicated shapes instead of only boxes in your map. Try making barrels, that should also help you practice aligning your textures.

In BSP go:

File > Leak Check > Load .lin file > (choose the file with your map name on it)

When you open the file, a yellow line should appear to the 3D window. The line goes from closest entity to the leak. I have found it easier to find leaks, if you press "hide world" button.
